Service
Behavioural & Mental Health Counselling
Substance use and behaviour are deeply connected. This service supports the behavioural side of recovery — described honestly, and within the real scope of our team.
Overview
Dependence on alcohol or drugs usually travels with changes in behaviour: irritability, secrecy, disrupted routines, conflict at home, difficulty holding responsibilities. Addressing these behavioural patterns is an important part of recovery — patterns learned under dependence need support to unlearn.
Our behavioural and mental health counselling service provides supportive counselling for these concerns. We are deliberate about scope: this is counselling support from our team within their actual qualifications — it is not psychiatric diagnosis, not clinical psychology treatment and not medication management. Where those are needed, we say so clearly and help the family connect with appropriate professional care.
Who this may help
- People whose behaviour around family, work or money has been affected by substance use.
- Those noticing persistent low mood, anxiety or anger during or after recovery.
- Families confused by behavioural changes and seeking guidance on what is happening.
- Individuals in recovery who want structured support for the mental-emotional side of rebuilding life.
What it includes
- Supportive counselling conversations — understanding behavioural patterns and what drives them, without judgement.
- Behavioural change strategies — practical, gradual work on routines, reactions and habits.
- Emotional support during recovery — steadying low mood, stress and frustration as life rebalances.
- Coordination with our other services — behavioural support connects with individual and family counselling, wellness activities and relapse-prevention planning.
- Honest referral — when a concern falls outside our scope, we guide the family to appropriate professional help.
Our commitment to honest boundaries
We would rather under-claim and over-deliver than the reverse. This page deliberately describes counselling support, not clinical treatment. Questions about what our team can and cannot address — including any medical dimensions of a situation — are answered plainly during your enquiry, so families can make informed decisions.
How to enquire
Call 9711458868 any time or send an enquiry via the contact page. Describe the situation in your own words; we will tell you honestly whether and how we can help.
FAQs
Questions about behavioural counselling
Can you diagnose or treat mental illness?
No — and we will not pretend otherwise. We provide supportive counselling for behavioural and emotional concerns connected to substance use. If a situation needs psychiatric or specialist clinical care, we will tell you directly and help you find appropriate professional support.
The behaviour changes came first — not the drinking. Can you still help?
Substance use and behaviour influence each other in both directions. During the enquiry we listen to how your situation developed and advise honestly on whether counselling support is suitable, or whether a different kind of help should come first.
